Q: What is the difference between the Standard top and Performance top bars?

A: Our Standard top bar is 33″ width with 6″ of pull back. Our Performance top bar is 31″ width with 3.5” pullback.

NOTE: If you like to have your bars pushed far forward like a true ape hanger, arm extended straight out or when pulled back towards you with a dip in your elbow then Standard top is a great option, If you want a more relaxed fit with having bar almost in line with the forks then the Performance top is the better option. The performance top bar usually sits in the same position for all riders giving you a true T- bar feel.

Q: Will my stock cabled and wiring work?

A: Our 12.5” Performance top bars for 2015 and up Road Glide models- Stock cables and wires.

12” Standard top bars for 2015 and up RG models- Stock cables and 4” wire extension is needed. 14” Performance top bars 2015 and up RG models- Stock cables and wire extension are needed. (Namz 18” wire harness extension drag# 2120-0783 ) NOTE: In order for cables to work properly they must be removed from junction block under top triple tree and routed so they DO NOT bind or kink.

14” Standard top bars for 2015 and up RG models- Complete cable kit and wire harness extension is needed.

16” Standard top and performance top bars for 2015 and up RG models- Complete cable kit and wire harness extension is needed.

Q: Why are the wire inside the handlebar?

A: The Stainless wire we provide in the bar is used for pulling the hand control wires through. The wire is very strong and easy to pull without binding, kinking or breaking. Check out the Instructional Videos under the Tech Resources button on the menu for handlebar installation help.
